Because each of these rings is hand-fabricated by me from raw materials, any design is possible. For example, you may choose from the following options:
gold colour: white, yellow, or rose
gold karat: this ring can be made in solid 14k or 18k gold
diamond: choose your yellow diamond. If you prefer a different shape/colour/size of diamond, let me know
band texture: hammered, high shine, brushed/matte, faceted
accent stones: can also be gypsy/flush set down into the band
accent stones: can be switched to any stone of your choosing, including diamonds
bezel texture: can be smooth, faceted, or any other texture you prefer
This ring is built around one of my bright, warm yellow rough diamonds. These diamonds are in their natural, uncut form, and have not been treated in any way. They range in size from 5.5mm to 7.5mm long. You may choose your diamond from the dropdown menu during ordering. The final photo shows the diamonds in detail. If you wish to have any further pictures sent to you of any of the diamonds, please let me know.
I have set the diamond in a very thick hand-built bezel of yellow gold. I have created a microhammered texture on the bezel lip, and a glittery, brushed surface on the bezel walls.
The ring band has been given a hand-faceted, geometric finish. Over this texture, I created a brushed, glittery texture. The band is 2.5mm wide by 1.5mm thick.
Matching wedding rings are available- they are $350 USD in 14k gold, and $500 USD in 18k gold.
The sapphires are absolutely gorgeous- they are a bright, striking cornflower blue. These stones are Yogo sapphires- they are found only in the Yogo Gulch, in Montana. They are untreated (no heat), and are beautifully cut. The sapphires are 1.7mm across, and are the perfect compliment to the yellow diamond. I bought my dealer's entire supply, so I have many more if you would like to use them in a different design.

6- cream, 6mm, .75 carats
7- light egg yolk yellow, 6mm, 1.10 carats
8- mid-yellow, with some pink undertones, 6mm, .95 carats
9- mid-yellow, 7mm, 1.35 carats SOLD
10- mid-yellow 6mm, .75 carats
Please note: These diamonds were mined from a pink matrix (material the diamonds are found growing in). Some of the stones retain a bit of this pinkish material in their deepest crevices. Over time, and through repeated cleanings, this material will wash out of the diamond. I have scrubbed the stones several times, but some of the more deeply-set material remains. So, if you pick a stone with some of this matrix intact, please expect it to change slightly in appearance over time.

Your ring will ship via Ground with a tracking number and delivery confirmation from Vancouver, Canada. This takes approximately 4-10 business days. $100 of insurance is included. Please get in touch for an insurance upgrade if you wish to have your earrings travel with full insurance.
Also, please note that import/export laws state the the exact contents and full value of the package must be declared on the export paperwork- this paperwork is affixed to the front of the package for easy readability. If you are buying this for someone who may see the package before you do, you may want to consider a more private alternate address for delivery.

Sizing details
If you are unsure of your ring size, the best way to be sized accurately is by visiting two commercial jewelers. Please ensure they size you using their thin sizing tools- not the wide band sizing tools, nor by having you try on rings from their display.

Gift wrapping and packaging
I don’t provide a gift wrapping service. Rings and earrings ship in jewelry boxes that are hot foil stamped with the Specimental logo.
If the person for whom you are purchasing the piece shares your address, please be aware of the following: International export law dictates that the detailed contents of packages, and their value, be clearly marked on the outside of the package. This means that if they see the package before you do, they can easily tell what they are being gifted with.
Need secrecy for this delivery? The very best option is to have your package held for you at your closest Fed Ex store- if you are unsure of its location, I'm happy to help.
What about repairs and upkeep of your new jewelry- how does Specimental provide ongoing customer support?
Our hands are busy objects, and any ring worn on a finger can become accidentally damaged. All rings need regular maintenance. Make sure you are buying your raw diamond ring from a jeweler with the knowledge and experience needed to ensure your stone stays put. Ask them about their warranty and their repair/upkeep policy. Look at how frequently they work with raw diamonds, and assess whether they have the technical experience to create a ring that will last your lifetime.
I stand behind each piece of jewellery I make. If something goes wrong with your ring, at any time- you slam your finger in a drawer and crush the band, you break a prong, you smash and crack your stone- you can count on me to support you with the repair.
Recycled Gold
My gold is all recycled- the metal plant I purchase it from has been in business for over 100 years. They smelt their metals to the highest environmental standards, to cause the least impact on the environment. They do not deal with newly mined metals, as these metals cause much greater destruction to the environment.
There is no visible difference between recycled metals and newly-mined metals. There is also no difference as far as the karat of the metals go- 18k recycled gold is exactly the same in constitution as 18k newly mined gold. The vast majority of my clients prefer their metals recycled, as environmental impact is of concern when choosing the perfect piece of jewelry.
Can Specimental reuse my old stones and recycle my gold?
I can use your heirloom stones in a new design. The stones must be pulled from their settings and checked for stability by a professional jeweler prior to shipping them to me. I cannot recycle your gold. I am not set up to smelt gold in the studio, so am not able to melt down your old gold pieces for you.

Can I order a ring with a different stone, wider band, different texture, or in a different colour/karat of gold?
Yes! All of my pieces are completely hand fabricated in the studio by me, from raw materials. I am able to create any of my designs with any stone, in any composition. Why buy your raw diamond ring from Specimental?
A raw diamond is an exceptionally difficult stone to set properly. Their unique shape means that a custom setting needs to be fabricated for each and every stone. The way in which the setting is closed around the diamond must be approached in a very particular fashion.
I began setting these stones into my rings in 2009, when only a small handful of jewelers were working with this type of stone.
