I am a graduate of the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design (now a university), and the University of British Columbia, here in Vancouver, Canada. I am fortunate enough to be a high school art teacher, and have been teaching since 1998.
Over the last few years, Specimental grew to be such a job that I could no longer stay in the teaching profession full time: jewelery designing and making, along with my three young children, called for more of my time.
I am very lucky to have two absolutely fun jobs that challenge me in all of the right places. I now work full-time in my home studio, designing pieces, metalsmithing, stone setting, providing customer service, photographing pieces, packing, and shipping my pieces around the globe. I continue to teach high school art part-time.
All of my pieces are fabricated, which means they are cut and forged by hand from sheet, tube, and wire. I work in all colours and karats of gold, as well as sterling silver and platinum.
I am most excited about my work when I am coming up with custom pieces- please feel free to get in touch with me about your ideas.
